Telltale games

Just got the Wolf Among Us plat. Really enjoyed it. I'd tried the Walking Dead on 360 but just couldn't get into it. Zombie fatigue. Seen some of GoT, but it didn't grab me either, and I don't really care for Borderlands. I'm a sucker for noir though. Hyped for season 2. Might even be willing to pay full price this time. Just hope this series doesn't get shafted with all the other stuff they're picking up. Don't expect Minecraft or Jurassic Park to interest me, so it looks like I'm sticking to just Wolf Among Us.

So what are your opinions on telltale games? I know they get a lot of hate for being 'muh movie games'. Got a favorite series?

honestly, the Borderlands one is probably my favorite one ive seen but i own the GoT ones.

they've got great intro music, which is common for the Borderlands IP. i kinda want the next episode to come out so i have a new song to listen to.

Movies, games, who gives a shit? Pretty much every Telltale game has difficult choices and characters who you actually get attached to. That's far better than any modern AAA game.

twd is my fav, i guess... although i've only played 2 of their series, twd and wolf among us

cant wait for the 3rd season of twd, im preoccupying myself with life is strange in the mean time

The Wolf Among Us is easily my favourite.
Tales from the Borderlands is actually really good too.
TWD season 1 is great. TWD season 2 is good, but not quite as good as season 1.
GoT is good, but it's definitely their weakest series.

Tales from the Borderlands is quite possibly Telltale's best work. Not sure if I like it or TWD more.
The Walking Dead Season 1 is incredible but there are some slow parts (the fucking train in episode 3) and Season 2 is great aside from episode 4 and some of episode 3. The episodes for Season 2 work well on their own but as a season they don't quite hold together so well.
The Wolf Among Us is good. Not fussed either way whether it gets a second season or not.
Game of Thrones is enjoyable but a step down for Telltale.

Also the intro to Tales from the Borderlands episode 2 is the best thing to happen in a game.

I've only played a bit of the Walking Dead. I don't doubt that they're amazing storytellers, and I do recognize them as games, but I don't think the story justifies GOTY when it's weak in just about every other field, unless the choice was between it and some rehashed FPS.
