What character(s) are your best and which are your worst, why?
What are your strengths AND weaknesses?
 What's your favorite level, why?
What is your favorite move?
What are your tips for n00bs?

I'm going to start training for a tournament soon.

I'm pretty good with Wario because of his strong shoulder lunges and his arial pound slams. My favorite move would have to be his over+b charging towards the opponent, and let's just face it his fart move is hilarious, but it is not very effective for me.

Yes, I love Peach, but mainly for her saving play. She is the easiest character to keep from crashing down into the abyss, but unless you know how to make that to your advantage you will soon become a target for juggling tools. I juggle best with Peach unless I accidentally pull out her parasol which then leaves open unless I decide to kick my way down. My biggest issue with Peach would be I cannot get the hand of throwing her turnips. For whatever reason I cannot grasp this and so I avoid it all costs.

I am sad to say that Falcon is my weakest game. His speed throws me off and I cannot keep him on the stage. No matter how hard I try I cannot get him to do what I want therefore I refuse to play him.

Final Destination has to be my favorite stage because of its wide open arena. This was the stage I learned edge guarding and spiking fun.

My tip for n00bs would be keep practicing, don't rage quit, and if you begin to develop blisters just know it is worth the pain and that you are doing it right... Or it means stop button mashing ya n00b.

What character(s) are your best and which are your worst, why?
I play random so its tough to answer that question. I guess it depends on how fluid the characters' controls are.

Quote
What are your strengths AND weaknesses?
I want to say crowd damage, but I haven't played for a long while to determine an answer. Using Ness's thunderbolt to save me is futile for me.

What's your favorite level, why?
Like the characters, I leave it random.

What is your favorite move?
Ike's Aether strike or Bowser's shell spin.

Block, dodge, and counter. Then punch them in the groin, kick their teeth, and uppercut those mutherfuckers off the map.

I can rock a nice Sheik. I like Falcon and the Dorf but I'm not tournament tier with them yet.
I play a nasty offstage game but don't spot dodge enough. And like everyone my spacing could use some work.
Battlefield is kind of Sheik's money game. As long as it's tournament legal or near tournament legal, I like the stage though.
Sheik's bouncing fish is extremely satisfying. Ness' PK Thunder can be amazing if done right.

I'm okay with Samus but I haven't even dared to try King DeeDee...

What's the best way to avoid attacks then?

First off beautiful coding.

You must be really great at the game to random everything. I bow to thee for j do not posses the balls you have good sir.

I'm trying my damn best to get there though.

Pikachu is my third favorite. I'm really good with him on N64 melee but it took me a while to get used to him on the GameCube.

I have yet to see a good Sheik player. I actually tried my hand at her last night for the first time in a long time and I kept accidentally transforming back and forth. Button mashing is bad, mmmmk?

I never liked the feel of her in Melee and Brawl, I only picked her up in 4, where she's significantly improved. I mained Fox before 4 came out.

What character(s) are your best and which are your worst, why?
Ness is my best. Not sure who my worst is, probably someone like Lugi.

What are your strengths AND weaknesses?
I'm pretty good at dodging, great at prediction as well.
Weakness, my air game isn't great on Sm4sh, probably because I play on the 3DS, and I'm a little too aggressive.

What's your favorite level, why?
Just any omega stages, so basically final destination. Just because I prefer competitive play, stages with shit happening are annoying.

What is your favorite move?
PK Flash, because it's difficult to hit, and getting it to hit midair feels fucking great.

What are your tips for n00bs?
Learn to dodge and use your shield. Also learn to grab.

What character(s) are your best and which are your worst, why?
I'm best with Marth, still trying to get the counter timing down though. Out of all the characters I've played I guess I'm worst with Duck Hunt. Too gimmicky for me.

What are your strengths AND weaknesses?
I'm good at noticing enemy attack patterns and reacting at the right time when they are open. I'm terrible at avoiding being juggled and timing my hits when close enough.

What's your favorite level, why?
Any level that doesn't have hazards and stays still. I'd rather just fight and not worry about dying because of the stage (FUCK YOU ORBITAL GATE)

What is your favorite move?
Mii Brawler's side special. Forgot what it's called.

What are your tips for n00bs?
Dunno because I still am one. I guess don't get too pissed off if you lose, just keep playing for fun.
I should really follow my own advice due to anger problems caused by this game >_>

Lucario and Ganondorf are my best characters in Smash 4. Lucario's aura ability makes all of his moves pretty devastating, and even when he's weak, all of his attacks work so smoothly into each other, you can do combos for days. It's so fun kicking people around with him senselessly. Ganon is a lot harder to use, especially against super fast characters like Sheik and Greninja, where the matchup is nigh-unwinnable. However, he hits so hard, it's almost comical, making him really fun to play. I always tend towards the lower-tier characters anyway, to see how far I can take them competitively. Currently, I'm also experimenting with other characters, like Mario.

In Brawl, I also played Lucario, along with Pit, Ike, and Falco for a brief period of time.
In Melee, I played Roy and Falco.
In 64, I played Ness, strangely enough. I hate Ness now.

My strengths include my background with fighting games. I've always played fighting games as a kid--I couldn't really tell you my first one. It could've been Virtua Fighter Kids on Saturn, Battle Arena Toshinden Remix (also on Saturn), or Killer Instinct on SNES. I'd bet on Killer Intinct. Because of its sheer difficulty, despite the innovative auto-combo system, I always came back to it for the challenge, which taught me resilience and adaptability. And though Smash isn't really a fighting game, per se, I picked up Melee many years later, and found that much of the skills I developed as a gamer since then translated relatively well in the Smash universe.

My weaknesses are simply that I'm strictly a DIY player. I don't look up walkthroughs, I don't use guides, unless absolutely necessary, even if it's something like a fighting game. I don't know anything about frame data, and I only have a vague notion of which combos will work at which given %s. I have to teach myself all the mechanics of the game through in-game tutorials only. Otherwise, I have to teach myself. Since Smash is kinda hectic, and unlike any other fighting-type game out there, it has been really difficult to learn the competitive metagame for it. I just kinda do what works, but against a skilled player who actually knows how the game works, it's a bit of an uphill battle, especially because I like to use low-tier characters, except for Lucario.

My favorite level?... Eh, call me boring, but Final Destination. Nothing like pure symmetry. If I had to pick another, I guess it would be Magicant on 3DS, because it's just kinda... nice, I guess? I haven't played on any Wii U stages yet (thanks for not having any GameCube controller adapters in stock, Gamestop!), so I can't really say anything there.

In Brawl, my favorite stage was none of them, because I thought they all kinda sucked. I guess Spear Pillar?
In Melee, the Temple and Poké Floats were amazing.
In 64, Mushroom Kingdom was fun, because of the pipe shenanigans.

My favorite move? I have a whole bunch. I tend to like special moves that are deemed useless by the general community, but are super hype to pull off in a match, like Mario's F.L.U.D.D. or Mewtwo's Disable. Counters and Reflectors are also fun, as well as Ness's PSI Magnet.

Tip for "noobs"?

Yes dodging and using the shield were something I had to pick up pretty quickly since I play with guys who have been playing for years and years. I played on the 64 back in the day but I didn't own the game my neighbors did.

teching is that thing where, after you get sent flying, you hit one of the shoulder buttons as soon as you land on a surface, and immediately stand back up or roll away in either direction

you know, to prevent getting constantly tailed

it's pretty simple to understand

you have some of the most famous characters from the biggest video game franchises ever
fighting it out

it's like every action-figure-collecting kid's dream
if you ever had an argument with a childhood friend about whether or not mario would beat link, you'd understand

the novelty alone of having one's favorite characters all in one game should give you a good idea as well
