Pokemon question

What do I do when my Pokemon's base attack "can't go any higher"? I have a level 21 Absol with only 83 attack that I've been super training, using Proteins on, only battling Solrocks, etc. Now I can't super train it or use protein on it anymore. How do I fix this?

I'm a total noob when it comes to advanced Pokemon shit like EVs and such, so forgive me if this is a dumb question.

A common misconception about Rare Candies is that they're always bad, because they don't give your 'mons EVs.

But, if your desired stats are already maxed out in EVs, it doesn't matter.

83 is INSANELY high for a level 21 'mon.

Oh, so does it even matter what EVs I get now? Should I keep trying to get attack EVs, or can I just battle any Pokemon now?

You have as many attack EVs as your 'mon can get, so you should focus on something else now. I recommend speed. Once you max out speed, you're basically all set. You won't even be able to EV train in anything else.

(Actually, you'll just have a little tiny bit left over, but only a negligible amount. If you max out your EVs, though, I believe you get a ribbon. So, there's that.)

you can max out a second stat as well (max out speed for absol) and then you have 4 EVs left over do to whatever with

So any attack EVs I get once my base attack is maxed out don't contribute to the attack stat?

i thought absol/dark types in general suffered from a lack of viable physical dark moves? i suppose you could run a non-STAB set but idk it seems kinda disingenuous

I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to bother making a competitive team in AS or not. All I'll end up doing is sweeping the E4 harder than I already do.

do they have any plans to actually add the battle frontier to ORAS at some point? it's really disappointing that they left it out, considering how awesome ORAS is otherwise

Didn't they change it so candies factor in EV's on level up in gen iv or v?

In the original games, the best physical dark-type move Absol could learn was bite. Which was pretty terrible. But in ORAS, Absol can learn Night Slash and Crunch, so it's a much better situation.

ah, so power creep has started to fix some of the problems that have been plaguing dark types since gen 3. that's good to know.

I realize there have been a few changes since Gen 3, but I played all three versions so much that I could Nuzlocke them without much difficulty. Given that Gen 6 is the easiest one ever, I have no doubt that I can beat the E4 without breaking a sweat.

If you dont want to breed them yourself I just got an action replay today so If you make a team and trade me the pokemon I can give them perfect IV's. Between iberius, verb, Luis, cheat, mr Psy myself, and many others there's plenty of people to trade and battle with

I don't mind, I'll take literally anything. My girlfriend and I have completed the pokedex (bar arceus, shaymin, genesect, and manaphy, keldeo and that singing one) so im not really looking for anything
