Let me get this straight. Your primary method of fun on Halo is in BTB on BTB.net's Tournaments and gamedays. If sprint is now toggleable, you'll never have to deal with it again because you're operating primarily in BTB.

And then its completely different from the vanilla BTB playlist. So people are less likely to watch BTB.net tournaments.

Who the shit cares who's watching the tournaments if you're the one playing and having fun? If Sprint is so widely regarded as being detrimental to Halo, then why do people want it in custom tournaments where they now have the ability to change that shit?

I care and the competitive community all cares.

We want tournament settings to be as close as possible to the vanilla matchmaking settings. Ex: LoL and Cod.

Nah, it's because it makes it easier for the main audience of the game to relate to the competitive settings, and thus for more people to get into it and support it. Case in point, when I was younger playing Halo 3 I adamantly avoided the MLG playlist because I thought it would just be BRs and 1, maybe 2, power weapons and that would be it. Magnify those differences more into sprint/no-sprint, etc. and it's going to be a lot harder for people to get into competitive, even if they aren't ignorant of what it's really like.

People didn't like sprint previously because it turned the game into a case of "chase your enemy around the map". It isn't like that in Halo 5. It's merely a way of traversing the map quickly, the whole shield connection thing makes it useless as an escape tool. There's really no problem with it in Halo 5, 343i have implemented it very well.

Yeah. I've not played enought (any) CE Because its never vote for but I'm not overly keen on 2-3. R/4 weren't really my strong suits either, I just played a lot with a party. I loved H5 though, I can't wait to see what they have planned for te big team stuff.

Off topic, but what's your opinion on the communities that solely care for the campaigns story or the customs? Like, I've seen many people who think that campaign and/ or forge should be removed entirely; but I can't really tell with you :3

Nothing wrong with campaign communities. In fact, if they wanted sprint, I would be happy and hope they got it.

As for forge. I'm on the fence. Its a very useful tool, but it seems like developer made maps have gone very downhill since forge was included in game.

Speaking of sprint an spartan abilities, I feel like a 4v4 beta wasn't enough to really show off their potential in the game. I would love a BTB map with a fuck tonne of skyscrapers or something that you can really use the ground point and thruster on, almost like Mirrors Edge or something. That would be sweet.

Love all the changes.  Glad to see the AR got nerfed in smart scope: that was crazy magnetism.  Plus, the SPNKr and crouch jumping is back, the game will (hopefully) be less dudebro, and quickscoping should hopefully not have a few frame animation where you sway a giant box in front of the screen.

To be fair with PSU: how many people who've hated Halo since Reach, over mechanics like sprint, do you think still bought an Xbone, the MCC, played the beta, and signed up for Halo surveys?  That's a pretty narrow selection pool, considering the fact that it assumes the average person participates on Waypoint or opens their emails from 343.

Same thing happened with arguments all over Reach and H4 forums: the "vocal minority" over lots of issues would be considerably bigger if you include the people with those opinions who decided to give up on the franchise and not bother bitching on forums all day.  Can't say that 11% would be 80% (or even 50%) or anything, but I bet it'd be more than 11%.

Or a map set in an asteroid field where you have to jump off all the little rocks and climb on them and stuff.

It's because they find using vehicles on larger maps funnier than the limited 4V4 shit. For the player count it does make since. With the current map sizes for BTB they're too small for them. The warthog and ghosts can get across the map in under a minute. The scorpion's range is well beyond the boundaries of the map and the air vehicles are way too limited on them. The banshee has hardly any room to move around. So a larger player count would increase the map size.

The other thing about a larger player count is that it would add more things to big team. With the current player count in Halo 2 and 3 you can fit half your team inside one vehicle. With a larger count that wouldn't happen. For the more things it would add more vehicles to the games or ones that have been in the games before. With larger maps and player counts we can have things like the elephant, the troop transport warthog, that ground transport vehicle the Covenant use in Halo 2, the phantom and the pelican. A 32v32 player count would make the playlist a lot funnier than the current outdated 8v8.

Anything bigger just makes the maps enormous and makes strategy and communication impossible.
