This doesn't sound like a smart move.

Cartridges are superior to discs tbh, but this could just be referring to a 3DS version.

Probably not, but it's not uncommon for them to release games on all of their platforms. I imagine they'll be using it to push the NX though.

what if its a handheld/console hybrid it would make sense to have cartridges so you could put it in the console and/or plug it on the handheld to go
allegedly the cartridges load faster and won't have to be installed like ps4/Xbox one  games

I would rather have cartridges which have faster load times and are safer than discs. When you think about it discs are stupid to use do to how easily they can get damaged.

Excuse me, I'm full of dog poison
Don't they make cartridges that hold far more information than blu rays? If so, makes total sense to go back.

what I've been reading is that the cartridge manufacturer that claims they work with Nintendo makes 36 GB cartridges, where blu Rays hold 50 GB

It's hard to find reliable information though

other sources say flash memory "cartridges" can potentially hold up to 1TB of data

We won't know until Nintendo opens their mouth I guess.

See that's more along the lines I've been hearing. My fucking micro sd card is 60gb and that shit was cheap.
