What do I need to know? Give me starter tips while it downloads pls

I've only ever played it on pc at my friend's house before and I loved it then so I know I'll enjoy it. But I didn't get to do too much.

And be sure to plot a course in your galaxy map before you go anywhere

It's a huge learning curve and they just had an update that made it more difficult for new players.
Difficult stuff. =/

I am loving this so far

I have no idea what I'm doing, of course, but I've got flying and basic combat down just from trial and error in the training missions. Exploring space is so fun, especially for me being someone who loves space and astrophysics as a subject. I wish I had infinite fuel; I want to go to Sagittarius A*.

Buy a fuel scoop - It lets you scoop up fuel from most main sequence stars

But I wouldn't explore too far out until you have a ship that can jump far distances in one go

You bought a game that is insanely short on content and needs more. I'm sorry.

Once the "newness" fades away, you realize just how shallow it really can be. Don't get me wrong, it's gorgeous and exploring is fun, and it nails that "in space" perfectly to me. But once you get past that, it doesn't really have enough to draw you back in.

Even with the new expansion, it's still in beta form and apparently very buggy.

To actually help you out though rather than give my gripes about it, I'd suggest taking a look at this guys channel. While he is on PC, I'm more than certain all he talks about applies across platforms, minus controls.

Take a look at his parts. It helped me from being lost, to getting some somewhat decent footing.

It has a TON of potential, it's just it's like your standard early access game, and a lot of the stuff they want to add in isn't there yet

Honestly, I bought it so I could explore space. Everything else is a bonus.

It was only £22, so it's worth it for me.

The game is real simple if you allow it to be. Get good weapons, fuck jobs, hunt through space for the biggest low risk bounties you can find (na-na-navigation beacons motherfucker) and gradually buy better ships/modules. Right now I have an Eagle worth about 250,000CR and 180,000CR in the bank, from approximately a week of play-and that included a day where I tried to become a miner after four days previously of being destroyed in my shitty old sidewinder.

Also, don't die. And once you've ranked up join the federation, that is if you ever want to see Sol.

I'm currently making my way over to Tau Ceti right now, doing trade jobs to make money on the way there. Trading astrodata every so often,,too.

From there,,I'll probably start trying to become friends with the Feds before heading over to either the nearest black hole or the nearest pulsar for some fun times.

Also I want to go to Saggitarius A at some point. Fuck the collectors.

Trading is a valid way of making money too I guess, I just find bounty hunting to be the best way to have a bit of fun in Elite whilst still getting credits. Just take my advice and stay the hell away from mining, unless it's absolutely needed
