You're crazy lol. The game was so rushed that they used the same layout for dungeons and caves. It had good characters, not better. I firmly believe that Dragon Age 1 is superior to 2, in terms of EVERYTHING.

I just found DA:O really bland and uninteresting, whereas DA2 at least felt like things were happening.

A lot of what happened in DA:O just seems pointless. I dunno, I can never understand when people prefer it.

DA:O has loads more content and the story is actually good. Dragon Age 2 was so boring IMO.

It's actually the opposite way around. DA2 doesn't even need to exist.
The game is basically just a side story.
