Could you SERIOUSLY do this on Xbox?

My friend just told me that once you accessed the profile of a player you just played, you could report players for being "too good" or "not knowing how to play".

Is that fucking true?

If so, how am I supposed to believe that XBL is better than PSN?

idk about Xbox but in many games reporting somebody for under skilled lowers there match making rating by an tiny amount so they play against worst players

It's not a report per se, as they don't get banned

It just decreases tge probability of getting matched with them in the future.

But no one ever used it.

If I'm not here, I'm doing photography. Or I'm asleep. Or in lockdown. One of those three, anyway.

The current titlebar/avatar setup is just normal.
It won't get them banned but in theory it's supposed to improve matchmaking processes so everyone is fighting the same skill level.

E.g. One player wrecks everyone else in FFA. Naturally everyone else will "report" that he's too good, while the good guy will say everyone else is too bad because they were running into walls, fragging themselves, etc...

That's not how it works though as you need a TON of reports for it to accurately measure you (so it can't be abused by one person saying everyone's too good and getting matched with noobs), and seeing as rarely anybody has time to bother reporting everyone for every match (other than the angry losers who might just actually report them for "cheating"), it's a pointless feature that was supposed to save MS some work by offloading it onto the community.

Goodness gracious, great balls of lightning!
27% of players preferred me on Xbox and apparently my Language percentage was the highest that people avoided me for even though I RARELY used my mic.

Preferred/avoided on XBL wasn't about people getting banned but about your chance to get matched with them if I remember, and yes things like those were justifications.  % preferred/avoided showed up on your profile also

Yeah, I remember the "not knowing how to play" report option on 360. Not sure about the "too good" option, but I wouldn't doubt it.

Yeah, but I'm not entirely sure the system worked. You could also set your gaming zone to things like "Underground" (apparently makes you encounter skilled, toxic people), but afaik that didn't work, either.

Yes you can. You can also leave positive "reviews", though most players only leave a "review" when it's negative and to bitch about someone.
