Can you name a worse year for gaming than 2016?

I'm not sure, I feel like each year got progressively worse overall. This year in particular was awful because all we got was Dark Souls III and a shitload of remasters (like, way more than usual). I think that will change with 2017 (except for the remasters, they're gonna keep milking that cow), we have some good stuff coming our way. I'm mainly excited for Mass Effect: Andromeda and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I'm still waiting for the trailer for the next Assassin's Creed because there have been a few rumors about the setting that are appealing to me, and the fact that they took 2016 off to add an extra year of development in their cycle is reassuring...I think. Halo 6 will probably come out at the end of 2017 as well, which I'll probably get for the story, if nothing else. I'm sure Rockstar will keep releasing stuff for GTA Online (which me and my friends still enjoy). There's probably some weeab exclusives coming out on the PS4 that people are super pumped for, idk.

EDIT: We may get a trailer for whatever project Rocksteady is working on, now that the Arkham series is concluded. Although, I think that's being a little optimistic.

-Forge is very detailed, but the problem now is that it's OVER complicated. Unless you're a die-hard forger that spent hundreds of hours in Reach's Forge World, there's way too much stuff to understand.
I give them points for turning it into more of a developers editor, but you are right about it being over complicated. With Halo 3, Reach and 4 anybody can go into it and figure it out withing minutes, with 5 on the other hand it seems like it's going to take hours just to do something basic. What they also screwed up is that for the monitor you have to hold down sprint to move faster, in the other three games it simply was a toggle feature.

I tried out forge in the hopes of making a simply creation which would be an armored warthog and tank(armored as in by placing those shields around the vehicles.). Withing ten minutes I gave up because I wasn't able to turn the objects around in order to place them on the body. The other thing I had a hard time doing was lowering and raising the objects as well. 343 should have included tutorials in the game for forging since it is nowhere as simple as what it was in the other three games.

Forge works a lot better on the PC than it does on console. I'd say anyone who really wants to get a lot out of that editor should do so on there.

You're forgetting resident evil 7. Best looking RE game since 4, I'm getting super hype off the teasers.

I'm glad they're finally taking a risk and going back to the origins of the game, but it just feels more like a PT sequel than it does a Resident Evil game. I feel like they just slapped the name Resident Evil on it at the end, basically.

Still looks far better than the abomination known as RE6 though.

It's the pt sequel we want, but not the one we deserve.

If it were going back to its origins it would be campy B-movie material instead of VR livestreamer reaction bait.

Yeah I was thinking that, but RE 2/3 had an uneasy atmosphere for them when I played them at the time. Not shit your pants scary, because RE was never really scary. Just nervous from time to time. 3 more so had that when the Nemesis music played.

The RE1 Gamecube remake was probably the best example of what I am thinking of.

I've never been a fan of Resident Evil games, so I don't pay attention to them.
