You know this entire strip could've been shortened down to one panel, slightly larger to accomodate for the kink shop sign, and been completely silent, and it would conveyed the same point a hell of a lot more clearly without all the rubbish in the way.Spoiler

Cause you know, "Brevity is the soul of wit" holds no meaning.

I would say the game is not that hard and just has a steep learning curve, but I guess that still counts as difficulty.

Therefore, Bloodborne's boss fights are usually hard.I feel a lot of Bloodborne bosses are cheap. Like Father Gascogine for example. He can knock you down, and while you're in the animation of getting up, can still hit you. I find that crap to be rather BS.Or how the Blood-Starved Beast just grabs you, poisons you, and then you take your sweet time getting up and try to heal, but he only leaves you with a small amount of health, so you just get up and die.I know you can easily "avoid" these things in a fight, but it's stuff like that that's annoying.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FakeDifficultythis trope comes to mindspecifically the third point
For example, placing a large number of invincible minor minions between the player and the Plot Coupon is extremely annoying, but they can be avoided by skilled movement - thus, the difficulty is real.Note also that fake difficulty is not inherently bad. If used subtly, it can provide a satisfying challenge in cases where the AI might be lacking.

]You know you can roll in any direction and instantly get back up if you get knocked down, right? And just dodge behind a pillar to antidote and heal.

I understand you can avoid attacks, but when you get hit yeah. And I tried to dodge with father GAHGHSGFOSG hit you, but yeah you can't. There is one animation where when you get knocked down, he gets a free hit on you.
Whoa I think we have a philosophical discussion here. What is fake difficulty?
you've never even played the game
Quote from: Tyger on April 07, 2015, 10:27:52 AMyou've never even played the gameif someone says "wow this game is hard in a cheap way"i'm going to assume they're telling the truthespecially if it's a game in a franchise that i can get through the tutorial in

What is fake difficulty?you could always read the article i posted about it lollike, if a game has an enemy that kills you in one hit, and the only way to avoid it is by some obscure method, that's fake difficultyit doesn't take skill to dodge an attack, and it doesn't mean you're unskilled if you die a hundred timesit just means you didn't know a piece of useless triviait's difficult to define what "real" difficulty is--you just kinda know it when you see it
