Do you still suffer from laggy connections and shitty games when it's school kicking out time where you live?

4pm-8pm here is almost unplayable because of the hundreds of kids getting on netflix/XBL/youtube/twitch etc but since this is broadband, I'm wondering if fibre users still suffer from this problem.

Yes, also more providers are now offering gigibit internet to compete.  It's still unlikely anyone on this board has it though.

Go to the ISP sites and do speed checks to see which provider is the best for your area when it's available. Virgin media is pretty good for me but obviously depending on your location it'll differ. Yeah.

A little, BT only does Fibre to the cabinet and Copper to houses here, I still get 40 down 7 up, but for the most part the internet is really nice.

Don't fret, BT have had some breakthrough or shit which will allow for 150MBps download speed on Fibre+Copper connections like I have, and like what you'd have if you were with BT fibre

We have the best one for the area 5mbps down and fuck all up :l

When we move in a few days it goes to like 7-8down and bugger all up >.>
