being someone who has a belief that is predicated under the notion that the human condition is utter shit and can only produce pain and suffering at the end of the day for no real gain, it does sound like a philosophy that could make friends with efilism

Well it depends a little on where you stand with it, transhumanism encompasses a variety of stances afaik. You have the roboticists who want to improve the body with augmentations and the like, then you have the geneticists who want to improve it at birth with genetic engineering/eugenics etc and you also have ones that are a bit less down to earth and I tend not to pay too much attention to the spiritualist stuff.

At it's core it's about improving the human condition and making life better for the species/individual. Becoming something better than a traditional human, either in mind/mentality or in physicality.
