It is not. There is literally no reason for it. I dislike the US military because of how the government uses it, and I do not blindly respect anyone in the military, because I have worked with some of them and am well aware that they are just like everyone else. Some will be amazing people and some are total dicks. I do not hate someone simply because they are or were previously in the military though, that is just an absurd and backwards way to think.
Sorry, but hating people just for being in the military is pretty stupid.
>implying that every single person in the Military is either: infantry, bomber pilot, or torturer
Wow, alright. That's a pretty bigoted perspective.
...Militaries exist to protect countries. Sometimes they go to war and war isn't pretty. Most decent people on the front lines suffer from PTSD. There's a pretty big difference between war and murder, I'm sorry. Also like others have said, just because you're in the military, it doesn't mean you kill people. Most don't. But I can see with such a closed minded view you probably can't be argued with, especially with sweeping generalizations like that.
Even those who did fire a weapon, are not all murderers.
Why am I even bothering replying to this...oh well, here it goes.Like I said, war isn't pretty. Yes, war is problematic. But the problem isn't with the soldiers, it's with the governments.
So if I give food to a soldier, does that make me into a murderer?XDDDD
But I'm helping a murderer by giving him food to eat, right? So I am supporting a murderer. Therefore, I am a murderer.
Please tell me you're just being a troll.
You straight, nigga, you straight.
>implying they don't all help in the killing of people if they aren't already killing people.
Invading another country and killing people is murder, if you want to sugar coat the shit to make it easier for you to sleep at night then what ever floats your boat. But the fact is those "good people" stop being good people when they pick up a gun and shoot at people defending their country.I'm afraid you're the ones with the closed minds, you never want to accept that you're military is a bunch of murderers. But I guess as long as it's not Americans they're killing it's all well and good and "not murder".
By that logic, the US and the UK were on a murdering spree in the Second World War.
>Comparing the" war on terror" to WW2The US and UK also both committed atrocities during the second world war.
Necessary, they had to compromise. It was either that or get overwhelmed by the Reich. But you said that all soldiers, of any kind, are monsters while the veterans of the Second World War fought a war for the Allies, minus the Soviets, where they people, they must be evil or something.I could even say that several Germans fighting for Nazi Germany were not Nazis. They fought not for the Nazi ideals but for their families and country, some of them weren't even born in Germany they just happened to have had parents from Germany and were recalled back to fight for the Wehrmacht.
I could even say that several Germans fighting for Nazi Germany were not Nazis.
That still doesn't justify it.
