i downloaded TOR, went to the hidden wiki and some book/pdf repository. didn't bother downloading anything or exploring much beyond that. i still actually have it downloaded, i just haven't bothered to use it much.

I went on there because my instructor for one of my classes was talking about it and using Tor and we all ended up going to the Silk Road to try Tor out.

I remember getting a the cryptarch ransom letter(think it was called something like that) on my computer. It consisted of someone grabbing part of any pic video or document on my computer and making it corrupt/inaccessible. Thought my computer was just acting weird for months since I had taken out the harddrive until one day I read a notepad from I'm guessing the hacker left and it explained they had all my files and if I wanted them back I'd have to go to this tor site for a password to unlock my files. Shit bricks when I googled what I found it said people do this and hold your files until you go to their site and pay the "ransom". Knowing someone was able to do this to my computer was very unsettling.
