It's easier to manipulate a population with the promises of communism.

You can manipulate any under-educated, impoverished, and mistreated population with a promise that you will improve their lives. Communism is only easier to manipulate people with because people not having their basic needs met are pretty common.

Its less a system and more an idea.

Which can have systems based off it.

A single word to describe a utopia that will never happen.

It doesn't describe a utopia, it describes an a set of socioeconomic principles geared towards making people as equal as possible.

There's a million ways to describe what communism is..yet no one can successfully develop a system that implements it's fundamental ideas.

I'm sure there are just as many ways to describe every other economic system thought up.

I agree with the last bit because right now we can't implement Communism successfully due to human nature. However, I think it could be implemented when/if technology devolopes to a point where humans are largely unnecessary in production of goods and services.
