ticks aren't especially annoying, they just pose mild threat of disease
which in the grand scheme of things, mosquitos contribute to more deaths worldwide than ticks ever will

I don't really wanna kill off any species of insect, no matter how annoying, as that could likely indirectly cause a major imbalance in the Ecosystem. Consequence-free, Flies, Mosquitoes, Wasps and Lice would be up there on my list.
