As a human, I really don't want Aliens to exist. Most of mankind would not react well to it. Not to mention if they're ANYTHING like us, then we're pretty fucked.

It's a collection of multiple bodies, not one. Most likely a massive cloud of comets/asteroids, or the remnants of a recent planetary collision.

The race that built it would be long, long dead by now. And since we haven't seen any other Dyson Spheres in the area, it was probably the only one they built, meaning when the energy is consumed they died because of lack of FTL travel.
