everyone on that 4chan thread accused me of airbrushing my skin through my front camera, but I have no idea what they're talking about and I can't find an option for it in my camera settings

A lot of phones automatically filter photos to make them look better. It's the default in the S6 and S7.

Just open your camera and tap the 'beauty' icon, and you can adjust the level that it filters your pictures. All it does is blur the colors together, so I think it's kind of crappy.

totally depends on the cultures

asian cultures find pale skin to be attractive because it means you're not "working the fields"

in western cultures a tan is seen as more attractive because the rich can afford to "get out of the office" and go on vacation/sunbathe for hours a week

It's a different style of painting where paint is thinned down, and sprayed through an airbrush and atomized.  I have one for painting my Gundam/model kits.  It's more effective/smoother than brushing.  It can also be used in makeup to achieve similar results.  It mostly creates softer and feathered results.
