Yeah it's ridiculous. But aside from being some white blond haired person that would draw attention there, people would really just not like you. That and Japanese is a hard as hell language to learn. I'd rather move to a country that actually has English as a dominant language. UK, Canada, Australia, etc.

It has a very unique culture, and quite a significant regional influence, but it is not at all fast growing. Massive amounts of corruption in South African society as well.

And in South African suburbia, every house is built like a fortress. And since the police are too corrupt to do their jobs, most people have private security companies hired.

Lived in Yokosuka, Japan for 4years. Loved it.
Would definitely go back. Could see myself in the uk/aus/nz as well. Maybe a couple other Europoors for the hell of it.
