If they were suffering or immobile or brain dead? Absolutely. He's miserable. Why would I keep him around? To prolong the inevitable and make him stay just a few months longer? I don't want to do that.

He's 12 years old. That's on that very far end for a Labrador. He's lived a good life.

My labby lived till 16, poor guy had his hind legs give way, thats when we had to decide. I think about him everyday.
