Is your personal passion intrinsic or extrinsic?

Do you self motivate or do you require someone or something to motivate you?

In my thread title, I use the word passion. I don't mean sexual or romantic passion. I mean the passion you have when you take on a task or goal.

Before a bunch of "depends" answers, I mean in general. I'm asking what drives you. Do you work for money or recognition? That's extrinsic. If you are driven by a sense of accomplishment, then it's intrinsic.

In general my passion is waned and I lack motivation due to my illness and the state of my life. If it means anything, at my core I don't care about appearing outwardly successful.

I need someone else to get me motivated mostly. Enjoyable things are more enjoyably with others, and if I can't share the experience, why bother?
