I want to reply to the long reply Verbatim just made, but Challenger probably will, and two replies will probably be too much. w/e here's my short go at it.

Challenger said that you appease people when mod positions are being discussed, so what you've said about your behaviour overall doesn't hold as much merit as you'd like it to, but it still holds some. Challenger, you should address the fact that he defended his name quite a lot, even though it probably was seen as a thing moderators shouldn't do.

Challenger isn't putting the fact that you want to become a mod in the spotlight, just your behaviour around this.

Challenger, you owe him some concrete stuff on the accusation that he's acting nice. Anything really.

Verbatim, I don't think that Challenger dislikes you that much. If he does, then it's only enough to guide his attention to you, but not enough for him to want to troll you or w/e.

I think that you people want a mod who has no negative history, and is only a goodie-two-shoes who upholds the law.

I obviously don't agree. None of the current mods are sparkling rays of perfect sunshine. We all have dirt. Mine is just more voluminous.

It's easy to look good when you don't express yourself, and I think that the mods don't express themselves that much. Do you know what sucks? The mods choose other people who don't express themselves because of their bias towards people who resembles them. This is the true reason for why you won't become a mod. After your thread was locked, I still wanted to respond to the last thing Kupo said to me, so I sent him a PM. Instead of responding, he made a thread mocking me for "trying to get the last word in" through PMs rather than just letting it die. Then he responds to what I said in the PM by calling me a liar, again.

I reported the thread, it got locked, and he got banned.

Then he claims that he was trying to "test" me the whole time.

I'm not actually annoyed, it's just dumb having 2 big threads discussing the same topic knowing no actual result will come from it.

Now that reply bothers me. First thing I'd like to address is that even though you're correct in that their discussion won't get any conclusions, you are wrong about no results being achieved. Discussing things brings you closer to the truth, whatever truth it is.

The second thing is that opinions and arguing is what this site is all about when it comes to mod selection.
