Nope, those things are not part of the EU. LEGO Star Wars is exactly that, LEGO, Kinect Star Wars is a shitty game, and other games like TFU are non-canon. Fan-fictions are obviously not canon.

Yeah, TFU was overruled by the Onderon Arc in TCW and Star Wars Rebels.
TCW and Rebels do not matter.

I love how people complain that the new canon is  shit and for kids, even though they haven't watched it. Also, did they forget that this shit existed?



Rebels is Citizen Kane compared to that.
After I acquired a level of taste and a knowledge of cinema, it no longer interested me and infuriated me as a Star Wars fan. It has plenty of kids show cliches, that's kinda evident with the Chosen One getting a Padawan and being placed in an uncomfortable role, but sure enough they grow a bond over time and everyone's happy. Also, the fucking Godzilla rip off episode. Also, that fucking midget/droid/RC episode. Also, replacing Durge with Cad Bane because Durge is too violent and scary.

Yes, and the Phantom Menace is the Holy fuckin' Grail compared to the Holiday Special. Your point?

The EU is still there, and most of the content creators recognize it as part of the canon because they grew up with it. The majority of content coming out has been respectful to the EU and brought stuff back into the official canon.
What about shitting all over my childhood by making Grievous a pussy that coughs all the time, instead of a terrifying badass that fights multiple Jedi Masters and Knights with ease? What about shitting on the Republic Commando series and making it so that the novels were never finished? What about trying to recreate the cool moments of the '03 series and failing, like with the Kit Fisto episode? What about giving the Chosen One who they were reluctant to make a Jedi Knight so hastily a padawan when that's clearly not a great idea? What about getting rid of Durge? What about making Dooku's head look similar to the '03 art style without realizing it doesn't work outside of that art style? What about making the Death Watch look good in comparison, because there's a group calling themselves Mandalorian and being pacifists? What about bring Darth Maul back to life? Do you catch my drift?

Well obviously they are separated, but the stuff from the EU and the original and prequel trilogy are canon.

You know why? Because if Disney is going to pick up with the EU as plot, you are expecting people are going to go to the film understanding what the hell has happened in the 30 years since, including Chewbacca's death, the Han/Leia's kid storyline, all that fun shit.

Guess what? That doesn't work, because most movie goers are not going to have read dozens of books to fill them in, nor will they want to. Disney CANNOT pick up with the current story plots logistically, because if they did, this entire movie would be exposition to try and fill people in.

If they kept the EU as canon, and tried to tell their own story, it would contradict and there would be an uproar larger than Bungie with FOR vs. Halo: Reach.

So, whether or not YOU want to accept it Noelle, that's the truth. Disney owns Star Wars, it is now a property of theirs, and any stories for the future will be decided by them. If you want to continue your denial and simply posting "It's canon, it's canon, fuck Disney!", be our guest. But, you are factually wrong, and will continue to be wrong.
