Why can't we just say "not white"? Short, simple, to the point, really hits the point when liberals say they just want more PoC representation in media disproportionate to the actual population size.

Or if we're talking about crime and under performing academics statistics why not say "non-asian minorities" since that's what they always mean?

there's also a rather obvious difference between using a word like "nigger," which has a lot of baggage

and saying "color" which has no baggage and is relatively benign

"colored" is different because it sounds like an affliction, but "color" is just a benign description of someone's complexion

i say, fuck anyone who is unable to view the expression "people of color" as the gesture of respect and politeness that it is

i don't personally use the term because i find it cumbersome, but see no real issue with those who do

It's too vague of a description, I don't really get it.  "Of color"  so does that include asians, which asians?  Because I tend to only see it applied to black, hispanic (whatever they're called), and middle easterners.  Though britain classifies middle easterners as asian, so are the people of color or not?  Like Das said, if they mean non-white, then say so because I fail to see the consistency (tho consistency isnt really their strong suit)

I think it's sad you missed my point twice now and went on a rant about how you're not racist.

I can't disagree with you there. I'm a bit sick and was posting while half asleep so I wasn't thinking properly, stupid mistake. But I get your point. It's kind of racist that the PC crowd uses a terms such as "POC" to lump in people who aren't white, implying they're different or maybe even inferior.
