Why don't we just kill all insects?

Honestly why do we need them? Yes, birds would die. Except why the fuck do we need birds either? It's not like a suburb or something is actually an ecosystem.

It's a thing called the food chain. The extinction of every single species of insect - I'm going to assume arachnids and crustaceans will be wiped out as well - will consequently result in a mass extinction, which would mean the death of the human race.

Just because inverts are unpleasing to the eye and are a general nuisance does not mean that they aren't a critical part of the food chain.

Nearly every single organism has a place in the food chain. Killing of several or even one species would have far reaching consequences for entire ecosystems, maybe even for ourselves.

Off the top of my head. Anything that fed primarily off insects that wasn't an insect itself would die.

Plants would also undergo massive mass extinctions because of how much pollination work multiple species of insects do.

bees can stay or whatever. trees just need air water dirt and sun to survive. all the other insects can fun right off. They can stay in other corners of the world where there's forest and where humans don't live. Just make sure they're dead once they come around the areas where humans live.

It's funny because I've been working next to a wasps nest for the last month solid with maybe 20 of them in the air at any one time and not a single one has been remotely aggressive.

If you scream and run around and flap at them like a chimp on fire, or kill them, then yeah you'll piss them off and they'll attack but if you ignore them and just work around them peacefully they ignore you equally.
