This is not the greatest sig in the world, no. This is just a tribute.
Lately I've been incorporating some surplus stuff into my wardrobe because A: it's usually of fairly durable material and B: if you wear it with the right stuff it's basically hipster shit on a budget. I think I pull it off but I'm trying hard not to overdo it, I only even own one piece of clothing with a camouflage pattern on it. You also have to make sure it's foreign and doesn't resemble anything currently used by your country's military, otherwise you look like a poor kid wearing dad's old BDUs or big bro's hand-me-downs.
C: cold weather field gear or flight outfits are the warmest shit you'll ever own
D: fish fur is totes hipster chic.

The point is, unless you're dealing with solid colour tees you're paying for a bunch of unnecessary, and therefore unscalable things.

And I said it was overpriced myself, that was the point of the example.
The facts are:

-A $100 tee made of better materials and with better construction quality will be better quality than a $20 tee.
-Some people feel the higher quality of the tees are justifiable and buy them.

Whether or not you think it's worth it is purely subjective. I don't feel it is most of the time, and would only spend >$20 or so if I really loved the design of the shirt and I felt the quality was good. The point still remains that the shirts are STILL better quality, just maybe not justifiable to you price-wise.
You seem to have no concept of the value of a dollar.

I can get a tee that's just as good as any that costs $100, and only pay $20, and that's before discounts.

There are plenty of clothes that ascend in construction and material quality well beyond the hundred dollar range, but there's only so much that can be done with a tee shirt.
"I can get a tee that's just as good as any that costs $100"

This is subjective. The quality is objectively going to be better (depending of course where you get it from), but the value of the shirt is subjective and up to the person who is buying it.

"but there's only so much that can be done with a tee shirt."

Yes, but enough can be done to justify $100, not to mention the aesthetics of the shirt.

If we are going to start talking looks, this is a Rick Owens t shirt

Normal t shirts do not look like that, and they are made that way because Rick Owens is a talented designer and designs them that way. You cannot find a shirt like that at Walmart or the mall. The aesthetic justifies the price for some people as well.
No, I can buy a t-shirt that looks just like that one at any number of factory outlets.

Almost always, with moderation
This fucking thread, I dress well enough to not look like a slob, but I could care less about fashion, if it fits, I like the way it looks, and isn't overpriced, its good enough for me.

Wrong

YouTube

I always love it when people use Michael Scott reactions, because I am Michael Scott, and this is game over.

You've never had any nice things, and you prbably never will, so you have no idea what you're talking about.
The quality of a t-shirt caps at $20, if you pay more you're getting ripped off.

GG, jimbo

I disagree. That's just an assumption that the internet has. "Don't feed the trolls" or whatever.

If I'm not here, I'm doing photography. Or I'm asleep. Or in lockdown. One of those three, anyway.

The current titlebar/avatar setup is just normal.
I'll revise one thing to my last statement, if it's functional or expected to last long, I have no qualms paying what I could consider exorbitant prices, like jeans.

Ones that are artificially "weathered" and £15-£20 aren't likely to last 2 years, whereas the £120 ones (using Levi's as an example) would last at very least a decade, even with intensive use. Of course this doesn't apply for teens per-se as most are still growing - but once the spurts are over, good quality at a tad hefty price can be worth it in the long run, but not necessarily.
