Why do people pay for expensive ass brands and clothing

Like Versace, Prada, LV, Armani, etc.

I mean like they buy a lot of clothes from them. Not one or two things.

I know people who don't make a lot of money, that exclusively shop there. Yet I can go to Pacsun, and buy a shit ton of clothes that fit better and are more comfortable.

Buying clothes like that for the sake of showing off is so stupid.

I mean I would maybe pay like £60-£70 for a coat, If I liked it, But like paying £50 for a fucking top in some places is just stupid.
Jumpers and jeans are usually cheap.

Some places are just ridiculous.

Agreed.

I mix it up. Buy my jeans from Hollister. I get graphic tees, plaid shirts and hoodies from both American Eagle and Aeropostale.

Rue 21 has some cheap graphic tees as well, so I get those more than any others.
Then some random stuff because it looks cool

I dunno. I just buy clothes from George/asda. It's cheap and does what I need it to do; keep me warm.

The not I have ever spent on one item if clothing was £90 on a full coat. And that's made of proper wool and shit. I get everything else for less than £10 each, though I don't even do that anymore. I haven't bought any clothes aside from the coat for months because I already have clothe, I don't need more.

No. Most extremely expensive clothing is pretty much supermarket quality. You're just paying for the brand name.
Gotta disagree with you there. You are of course paying for the brand name, but the more expensive clothes generally are of better quality and make. At least, over here they are. But then again, clothes are generally nicer here in the first place, according to my girlfriend at least.
