Why do people not care about their health?

Why don't most people value trying to be healthy? Like, from what I've seen most people just don't care what kind of food they eat. I get it, sometimes it's difficult to eat healthy. When I used to live with my parents and all I had was the crap that they stocked the fridge with, I had troubles with my diet a lot. Now I live alone and I stock my own fridge with what I want. So it's not that big of an issue just eating healthy and whatever. So many people though just don't give a fuck about what they put into their body, it makes no sense to me.

I worked out for a little over 8 years for Football/Baseball.

What incentive do I have now to work 8 hours, get home take care of my kid, and then hit the gym?

Even if I had the time, I don't think I would do it. I always hated working out.

i can understand why somebody would say there's no point in working out if they're a busy person, but eating healthy? i feel like that should be a priority. it's been demonstrated that maintaining a balanced diet improves your quality of life immensely and has a multitude of benefits.

My metabolism is super duper high. Eating healthy would only make even more of a stick. Also I'm too broke for healthy food
