The problem is that people don't know what an ad hom is in the first place. An ad hominem is when you dismiss someone's argument based on the fact that they are a tranny nigger faggot.

Vanilla insults and name-calling are not ad homs--they're insults and name-calling. If someone calls that an ad hominem, then they're just too ignorant, and arguing with them is probably a waste of time.
