Zerg rushes. Cold weather. Overwhelming numbers. Fronts.

That's why. Quantity won over Quality.

Because Russia had Dodge and Studebaker trucks.

I wonder how many of them rusted out before the Germans got to them.

First World War, Germans won that front. They surrendered only because Wilhelm was scared of the destruction the Triple Entente could make if they entered German borders. The Germans could have held out way longer and the front lines were basically in enemy territory.

Second World War was mostly due to Stalingrad. Stalingrad became a thing that Hitler and Stalin faced off on. Honestly the Winter would not have been that big of an issue but the need to capture Stalingrad was. This city became the fight for prestige, where Hitler did not want to back down from. If the Germans had just moved back and moved into a different territory or pivoted their attack, they could have really hurt the Russians. Hell they could have been able to hunt and take down multiple brigades, destroy supply lines, and maybe even taken Moscow. If they wanted to defeat Russia i feel they should have focused on taking out Stalin instead of Stalingrad.

But once they lost Stalingrad, the whole war became a downhill slope as huge number of Russians were thrown at the German Wall, till the Germans had to retreat.
