Was about to list a bunch but it seems they've already been posted.

The new Superman in Earth 2 is black. As is the new Spider-Man in Ultimate Marvel. Oh, and Nick Fury in Ultimate Marvel as well. That's why Sammy J got cast as him.

There are a metric sh1tton, and most of the more popular DC superheroes have a black counterpart in alternate universes [if Morrison is anything to go about- he literally made an Obama Superman and it was awesome (should say "is" actually, what with Multiversity)].

@ AIHT: Wasn't the Spectre black at one point too?

Although not technically superheroes, quite a few characters on Agents of SHIELD are black.

Most comic book heroes, the most well known ones, were made in the 5Os, 6Os, 7Os

You have to remember how racist they were back then

Crispus Allen, yep. Also Steel. On the villains side, a rarely mentioned example is Killer Croc - not that anybody can tell his race, obviously. Martian Manhunter usually disguises himself as a black man, but he doesn't really count.

Because most of the known comics were made during times of racial segregation and to portray a black as being superhuman would give them ideas. Well, that's how I imagine it to be; have to look around to find black super heroes

He was an anti-hero back in the 90s. Of course, damn near everyone was an anti-hero back in the 90s. It was a really shitty time.
