If I sleep more than 6 hours I can't function wellusually don't sleep these days because thinking about Verbatim.
Over the past nine months I averaged 3-4 hours a night because my classes started around noon so I figured I could go to bed at 5:00 AM.Even now, when I can sleep in, I'm still not getting much more than that because I'm used to forcing myself to wake up so I can do stuff before noon.

A raised heart rate makes it impossible to sleep and I missed a few hours sleep a couple times. From then on i became self concious of when my heart rate increases and that exacerbates the problem where i start cycles of Lay downWonder if i'll get to sleepHeart rate increasesStress elevatesWaitHeart rate dropsRepeat for a couple hours and that's how i sleepWhen i stayed up 40 hours, laying down only pumped me up like i wanted to run a marathon. It's kinda depressing not being able to control my sleep.

I was worried when my heart started hurting this last time. From reading about it's most likely stress so I'm going to start meditating to see if that alleviates it. If my heart hurts again I'll prolly go to the doctor.

If I don't get my 8 hours, I'm dead. I've been setting 2 alarms in the morning before work, so I can wake up initially, then doze off for another 30 minutes.

My alarm is actually across my room, not next to my bed. I do that, so I have to physically get up and out of bed to cut off the noise. Unfortunately, getting woken up so abruptly then rushing across the room gave me a bad migraine this morning, had to skip my second shift at work.
