After they added YouTube Red I 'deleted' my account (changed the username and password and left it) because I didn't like the way YouTube was headed and you don't really need to get a YouTube account to watch videos. Having subscriptions always felt like a chore to me, like I had an obligation to watch people's videos even if I only subbed for one reason. My YouTube experience is much more peaceful now.
