I don't know why, but they elicit strong emotional responses from me.

Hmm the most recent for me is the Camp Speicher massacre.

Over a thousand young cadets made to walk in the street like cows to a slaughterhouse. Can't post the pictures because gore is obvs banned. The video is just the cadets walking in single file. No gore.

9/11 for me. Not because Murica, but because it was the first major thing I was around for.

I was 14 at the time, and in light of everything, all the local schools cancelled all the sports games for the next week or two. Our trumpet quartet played the national anthem at the first football game once the games resumed, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house, including myself.

Nothing has quite affected me the same since.

Even thinking back to it now, I can feel the weight in my heart.
