Dude, nobody gives a shit about your personal hobbies after your regional equivalent of high school. I can say "I like watching anime" to chicks and they won't even blink. What's important is that you're a self respecting individual who's actually doing something with your life.

Sure there's a couple misconceptions and I might get a question now and again, but it's fairly easy to clear up. You'd also be surprised about who's watches it. A few months ago I ended up having a three way discussion about Gundam, DBZ, and Inyuasha with a muscle bound pharmtec, and a cynical chick who was going into law.

Like the filthy Nasufag I am I recommended Fate/Zero since it seems to be a good entry point for a lot of folks who either are into the basics or not into it at all. I don't know if they actually watched it, but they seemed interested in it.
