Hmm.

One one hand, both have brilliant music and great animation. I prefer the fight animation in SAO, whereas AoT's soundtrack is slightly better.
AoT has the better plot, or, has a better plot for longer than SAO anyway. 10 episodes to 2.

Storywise, from what I know about both, SAO starts off contrived, but AoT fools you for a little while before dropping the bomb that it's just your average shounen and has been hiding behind an edge.

Overall, for me, Attack on Titan holds more objective good qualities.

The angel then led the demon to heaven, where he underwent centuries of the cruelest tortures imaginable. Finally, the pain was so great that he lost consciousness - at which point his dark wings turned the promised shade of white.
