It's been hard to get the courage to write this, and by the time I have the courage to send it none of it will matter.

I haven't always, and I tried my best not to fall for you, but you have me now, and you always will.

I think that's what being in love is really about; not any magic that happens when you lock eyes from across the room, but the moment when you realize someone is your best friend, and you want to spend the rest of your life with them.

And that's what makes real love so hard, because if it turned out to not be the real thing, you've lost your best friend. I valued having you in my life every day over taking the chance on losing you, because just being with you is more important than feeling your embrace, and maybe now that I've lost you, its easier because I realized that you're gone anyway, and if I really lose you, my heart can't ache any more.

I never wanted to love you, but my heart belongs to you, and my head didn't get much of a say.

I once told you to never give up on something you can't go a day without thinking about, and from the first time I ever said that to myself, you were the only thing on my mind.
