When you edit a post

Do you have to add 'EDIT' before the edited part? I've seen a lot of people doing it and I don't really know why. It says edited underneath anyway.

people like me wouldn't notice an edit otherwise because we don't care to read the whole thing in detail

and if you ninja edit quickly there won't actually be the edit thing

Why would you need to know that it was an edit anyway

Unless the edit changes the whole post itself

Like if my edit was just to add an extra line or something, I don't really see much point in adding EDIT before it

I really don't like editing posts because that message appears under the post saying it was edited. It's just a pet peeve.
