Just Dance, for a more recent example, isn't a dudebro game. Neither is Tribes: Ascend (although it did attract a lot of memester idjits).Simple/casual shooters with "deep" (like a bathtub) mechanics are the defining factors of dudebro games. Halo fits it, as does Battlefield, and CoD. Quake has a 90* learning curve, it's too "hardcore" to be a dudebro game. Quake Live even got a small resurgence a few months back, and it quickly died again because the new players left after getting their asses handed to them with a 0% success rate.
Well, you'd think I'd have played it, because of the whole Trent-Reznor-did-the-soundtrack thing.
Well I wouldn't bother with it now. It's impossible to play online at this point. The only people who play it have played it for over a decade and are stupid good at it.
