If Zack Snyder stays on for Justice League, how doomed is it?

Only thing BvS had going for it was Batfleck. Completely subverting the JS Origin for the sake of edge is something that even Batfleck can't save.

I think if the next solo movie fails then the Justice League movie is going to be on life support. I think they said the Flash is going to be more light hearted so seeing how that fits in with the dark and broody Snydermen is going to be an interesting sight.

I'm expecting it to be the worst of all the DCU movies up to that point.

Batman V Superman was at least passable mostly because Superman and Batman are interesting characters. Now they're making a movie where Superman is going to be evil and will have to stand on the shoulders of the rest of the League which will likely be filled with one dimensional, poorly developed versions of the characters.

I'd be happy to be wrong, but I've been left disappointed twice now with the WB/Snyder formula. I think it will just be worse with a JL movie.

It all depends on how well he learned the lessons from BvS. It wasn't terrible. He just tried to do too much story telling in too short a time. He does best with simple stories that can be explained visually. I think it was more the studio trying to jumpstart a franchise than him trying to make a movie.

I think it'll be better than BvS for sure, if only because literally everyone is going to be at Snyder's throat the entire time.

Still, unless they Crisis the sh1t out of the timeline I don't think they can unfk Superman's lore. As cool as the thought of silver bullet King of Knights Supes sounds, the damage has already been done to him.

Snyder succeeds when he's just copying the comics page for page, so let him do that. He should not be the executive director on the project.
