Looking back it wasn't that great of a movie. To me the story is average and the only things that stand out are the environments. For the 3D it was nothing more than that token black pop out shit like in Shark Boy and Lava Girl. With the Hobbit movies the whole thing or at least a decent amount are in 3D. Really to me the only thing that stands out about it is the whole avatar thing.

I can see Guardians of the Galaxy being long because it gives it enough time for the characters to develop and the story to not be as rushed out. But when it comes to Avatar it's just way to damn long.  3 hours for a movie that doesn't have much of a story and is focused on two characters is just too much. The majority of that time seems like it's just there to show off the CGI.
