Hmm...
Just started "The Boys" season 2. Trying to take it slow since they only released 3 episodes and are going to trickle the rest out every Friday. It's pretty great so far.

Who was the fool that threw the basket in the pool?
I did private showings of A Clockwork Orange (1972), The Silence of the Lambs (1991), and Braveheart (1995) this last week. I was able to get some three to five other people for each showing, so I'm really happy that I've been able to put on a good time for good friends.  : )

If I'm not here, I'm doing photography. Or I'm asleep. Or in lockdown. One of those three, anyway.

The current titlebar/avatar setup is just normal.
Watched 'The Lives of Others' last night - it's in German so most of you'll need subtitles, but it's a good drama about a Stasi man spying on a playwright and his gf, with him slowly getting involved in their lives.

Had a quick wiki binge afterwards and it turns out the actor who played the Stasi man is a playwright himself who had his own involvement in the fall of the Berlin Wall, so that was interesting.

Anyone watching Lovecraft Country? Started off promising but now I'm not really sure what to make of it. First episode was horror kino but now it's giving off weird Indiana Jones vibes for some reason.

Made in Abyss. Great anime, the moment I saw the... um... amount of reaction videos on youtube while I was looking for episode 2 in subtitles before giving up I knew that I was in for a journey. Once I was done with anime, I went and continued with manga and finished it, I'll be looking for continuation.

Another manga I reading is Ten - The Nice Guy On Path Of Tenhou

ooh good choice

how do you go about continuing the story with the manga? ive thought about doing that with many anime but i dont know where to "skip" ahead in the manga

or do you just start with volume 1 chapter 1 and experience the story again

No, I just found the point where anime ended and continued from there, and it's not that hard considering that volume of manga usually represents a substory and has some sort of theme that you can indentify

I haven't watched Made in Abyss movies though, because first two are the same content as series and third one was harder to find to watch for free than manga

So Ive recently gone through:

Stargate SG-1 - 7.5/10 (Absolutely solid and fun show, not quite Star Trek though)

Stargate Atlantis - 5/10 (Not terrible but the cast are immoral assholes and the antagonists are a joke compared to the OG series)

The Expanse - 8.5/10 (Brilliant blend of outright hard Sci-Fi and a bit more fantastical stuff. I wish there was a Gundam series was more like this)

The Boys - 8/10 (its good)

and Made In Abyss - 7/10 (Can get pretty uncomfortable to watch but that's the whole point. Too short though and ends before we get to the interesting part. The Movie isn't available on Amazon.

So I just got done finishing both seasons of Cobra Kai.

2nd season is a bit questionable but the 1st season is pretty top notch, that is if you can ignore some hammy acting and the occasional eye rolling teenage angst drama. The choreography is some of the best I've seen in a TV show and the characters are surprisingly complex, especially Johnny.
