Gamers found out that there were both romantic and monetary relationships between journalists (Zoe Quinn) then the jounalists had a hissy fit and called their biggest viewers, the gamers, a "Dead" group. They then started censoring people and the SJWs started attacking any and all gamers as soon as they bring up a discussion. #GG is created, claiming the gamers, who are fighting against corruption in the industry, are misogynistic for doing so. SJW in full force, NeoGaf bans all discussion, Moot BANS GG discussion on a forum built upon being able to say whatever the frack you want. this pisses people off, they do a bit of mining and find out that moot is a SJW fag. Gamers then find out about the mailing list that Journalists use to collaborate on articles and to push agendas.
