This goes far beyond the cop being an "asshole". He forcibly removed a child from his school environment, brought him to a police station, questioned him for an hour, and then when it was proved the kid did NOTHING wrong, didn't even apologize.

If you're asking what does this have to do with race, there has never been a white kid, of the two dozen or so kids arrested, for this.

While these children are awaiting a decision, they are put in a secondary school, which is usually where kids with behavioral problems go.

And this is more than one cop. It's the whole department that handles the school's doing this.

The article straight up denies this though:
"In the 29 pages of Cy-Fair ISD police records, abc13 found five students investigated who were listed as black, three students investigated listed as Hispanic, another whose race was listed as "E." There are 15 reports with no race listed."
