Prequel-style or OT-style

Prequel: fast-paced action, flips and cool stuff, little to no dialogue,
OT: slow-paced action, sword tapping or rambunctious swinging, lots of emotional dialogue

What kind of Ligtsaber dueling do you want in SW: TFA?

What kind of saber-fighting style do you want to see in the new movie? Original trilogy-style may have tied a lot of key plot points in the fighting(but kinda stale action), but the prequel-style was more exciting to watch.(the Darth Maul duel really kicked ass)

and if you say the ep3 Anakin v. Obi-wan duel had no emotion behind it, you're full of shit and gay.

Prequel styles with the intensity and realism of the Original Trilogy.

Considering the original trilogy actually handled them like swords instead of flips, that. But I wouldn't mind a good mixture of both, just so long as it's not too much like some of the prequel stuff.

There is a reason this exists

i hate this gif.

it tries to make it seem that the saber twirls are just missing, but in reality they clash like a second later and they both hold it at gridlock for a sec.

Gonna side with the OT on this one. I prefer more dialogue over action honestly.

Episode IV's fight was pretty weak admittedly, but Empire and Return had some great choreography that will always hold up. I don't think that lots of choreography and moving around from place to place, destroying as much shit as possible can really be considered a better fight sequence. I do think the prequel fights were good for those movies, but if they're going for a more serious sequel in TFA, then the more serious fight scenes would obviously make more sense.

Somewhere between the OT and PT, so it feels like an actual sword fight but looks cool

I like hugs and making the world a better place. That and guns. Lots and lots of guns.
I want any lightsaber battles to be badass but practical. It would be great if they would have HEMA advisors on the lightsaber combat.

I'm referring to the design of the weapon.

Nah, ten bucks says that evil mask guy is still gonna be choreographed with eastern swordplay in mind despite having a longsword for a lightsaber.

The OT trilogy sword fights were lame as fuck.
The prequel sword fights were over the top.

A middle ground is the best way to go.

A mix of both. Some of the prequel stuff was cool (IE Anakin/ Obi-Wan, Darth Maul, Anakin/ Dooku in E3) but then some was just dumb (Yoda/ Dooku in E2). It makes more sense to be fast-paced considering that the Jedi hve the force and loghtsabers don't have a heavy blade to swing around. A lot of the prequel stuff was kind of boring and I'm under the impression a lot of it was Obi-Wan being slow and Vader not wanting to kill his son.

Jacob Potila was actually a Jacob Flotilla of lies.- WarTurkey
See I always thought the prequel fights were all twirly and coreographed because that was an age when Jedi and Sith were still around to practice the art. By the time of the Galactic Civil War, there wasn't really much of a need.

Vader is a hulking robot man with brute force, Palpy has lightning, Obi Wan is an old has been and Luke just kinda does his own thing. No Jedi temple training around to teach him how to do fancy flips.

But I'm talking about in-universe reasons

Of course, this is a universe where they created justification for stormtroopers with aircraft, mechs and laser guns being killed by teddy bears with rocks, but still.

There wasn't really anyone around to actually teach the twirly fighting styles either.
