Yeah, its free. The only thing you have to do is sign up, to unlock all of the free features (its your typical email and password thing)

Note that it will require a somewhat able PC. I recommend more than 4GB RAM if you want everything to be smooth.

Its also not your Windows Movie Maker and when the UI opens initially, it can be intimidating. Don't fret, there are tutorials online to ease you into it.

Gives you a free trial for the premium shit and there's a tonne of serials on the internet to extend the time by a day or so if you need it again afterwards.

There's always Windows Movie Maker. Microsoft still offers it free for Windows 8+ under Windows Essentials on their website (or just Google WMM)
