I'm more concerned about my own survival, and I'd justify it by thinking of the country's past and present. Rules and democracy? These were new concepts, and the world worked differently back then, so I'd join them in either case. Of course, I'd just join the military. If I were tasked with the camps and such, I'd "whimper" out and act like it's against my nature, but that I believe in everything that the place stood for.

People are scary in groups, because they're so easily persuaded. If I were to find people that thought similarly like me, then I'd join a bond and see where that went. If it became efficient enough I'd try to kill Hitler.
