I know yanks had this thread a little while back, but since the euros are all off to university nowish I thought I'd make one now <.<

I've had all my textbooks arrive in the last couple of weeks and gone over the year ahead on the website and it's looking 10/10 for me.

I haven't seen any irrelevant, boring or inane bollocks which is very good. It's basically Mental Healthcare from start to finish. The only bit I'm not looking forwards to is the psychodynamic bollocks which of course falls under the counselling module but hey ho. Should be an enjoyable year all the same.

What about you folks?

AP psychology looks to be fun.
AP Literature might be a little difficult due to the inherent vagueness of the interpretation of literature, but the class discussions have been very interesting.
AP Government has been meh, although we've had some fun discussion regarding the GOP debates.
AP Econ. is next semester but I feel that it's going to be boring as hell.
Political Science is fun, basically it's just class discussion and the teacher telling us his rather humorous perspective on things.
Pre-Calculus is going to be awful because it's on level and therefore filled with apes (granted I'm not good at math either but still at least I act like an adult).
Forensic Science hasn't been too interesting thus far, maybe it's just taking a while to get into gear
CISCO Networking has been dull.

All in all, I'm just sad I don't have any AP History classes left to take.

Advanced Placement. More college level stuff. More in depth. Boosts your GPA.

His eyebrows sparkling, his white beard hangs down to his chest. The thatched mats, spread outside his chise, spread softly, his splendid attos. He polishes, cross-legged, his makiri, with his eyes completely absorbed.

He is Ainu.

The god of Ainu Mosir, Ae-Oine Kamuy, descendant of Okiku-Rumi, He perishes, a living corpse. The summers day, the white sunlight, unabrushed, ends simply through his breath alone.
I wish history was a profitable sector, I would have chosen it as my major. Only good classes I've had were history-related.

Ahh, very good.

It's always struck me as a little strange that yanks do so many subjects for their degree with all the major/minoring stuff. But I guess we get all that out of the way with sixth form and the like so when it comes to university time you just blitzkrieg the one subject until you live and breathe it.

It's pretty bad. I've never taken Trigonometry and I'm taking Math 1210 (Calculus) so I have to learn a lot of Trig to pass the tests.

Japanese is easy because the teacher is teaching the class really slow.

CS 1400 is garbage because the whole course is in Comic Sans including the professor written textbook.

It's a joke and I can't wait to get done with school and get an actual job.

TFW I had friends take AP classes in high-school and they barely got a good GPA in high-school. TFW their AP classes didn't get them the credits they were promised when they started college.

I got "Lucky" and scored okay on the ACT that I was told by the counselor to start with Calculus. Kinda irritated I took their advice.

Comp 2 is literally the same class I took in high school and I think I might be over qualified for it considering our instructor had to tell the class how to use paragraphs and there are some real empty heads in there.

Trig is literally a waste of my time because I was taking Calc 1 in high school but failed. then they didn't take my trig credit so I either had to take two math courses concurrently (which would have been 19 hours)  or have my time wasted with concepts I already know. The work is mindlessly tedius and designed with the instructors convenience in mind. All work so far has been taken online and graded automatically and the instructor only teaches actual trig at most 40 minutes a week. I feel sorry for someone who actually is tryi jg to learn trig here because the instructor is getting paid to have us teach ourselves.

Skills for Academic Success is like every high school peptalk about college lumped into a class period and it makes me want to cut myself it drains me of so much energy. The gist of the class is "suck companies' dicks for internships and by the way I hope you enjoy math because your remaining 3 years here are going to be nothing but it".

College Physics isn't bad, Im only taking it because my credit didn't transfer so I already took the class. The book is pretty useless because its wall of text for what is a mathematical subject. The professor is pretty good at answering questions and concerns and unlike trig actually bothers to teach people with his slotted time. The lab portions of this class are pretty chill, they have us apply relevant concepts and they don't waste our time (you can leave as soon as you finish).

Introduction to Java has been amazing. The teacher is a really nice guy who's good at simplifying course content for digestion. The book is really hands on and cooperation between lectures, assigned reading, and lab work all help bring it together and wpah what the hell I'm actually learning new things?

So basically I'm here full time when I only actually need two subjects for my major. If I could drop all of the useless classes, not have to start paying debts for dropping below fulltime, and get a part time job I so would.

I'm going to a uni open day next week to check if anything interests me, after a 2 year "break from study." Depending on how that goes, I'll either be at uni next year, or move to the middle of the desert and look for a labor job.

I'm not in university but still.

The computer floor is being renovated so we don't get to do the really fun stuff (IE animation, 3D modelling and such - I'm doing computer games in college) until about march. We we're getting all of the boring databases stuff out of the way now so we can move on to websites and graphics design later, and leave the really good stuff until we get the über computers.

Right now, we're using computers that are temporary until we get the supercomputers in once the renovations are done, but they're already monsters. 16gb ram, GTX 970 graphics cards and a dual monitor setup. And the cases have glowing blue lights on them, too. And we're getting better ones in march.

So. It's kind of boring now but it's going to be getting better all the way through. I'm not bothered though because I just take my Xbox headset in a listen to sik tunes on YouTube once I'm given my task. Well, I've been re-listening to hunt the truth lately but same principle.
