Seeing how we have one for Star Wars, I'd figured there should be one for Halo.I view the first 3 games and ODST as canon. The book The Fall of Reach and First Strike along with Contact harvest as canon.Halo 4 to me is like a bad fan-fiction story, and Halo: Reach destroyed the real beginning of Halo 1.And if anyone here has actually read first strike which is between the end of Halo 1 and the beginning of Halo 2, it explains how Chief made it back to earth, befriended Sgt Johnson, Needed a suit upgrade, and even introduced the engineers way before ODST. Oh and spoilers....SpoilerThey had to kill the engineer because it knew intel about Cheif's Mark V and they didn't want The Covenant to know about this, hence they killed it. At least from what I remember when I last read the book.
Uhhhh.
Halo Wars is the Quran of the Halo universe
Halo CEHalo 2Halo 3ODSTWars (As of Escalation, Wars is officially canon)Halo 4The Escalation comicsThe Original NovelsThe Newer NovelsThe Forerunner SagaAll of these are canon.

I don't think a lot of the Halo community considers Legends to be canon.

Frankie himself has confirmed that there's a ridiculous amount of subtext and foreshadowing in Legends which we haven't come close to discovering [though we've come a ways since that comment].
