The answer is obvious: if you don't get to see her again, move on. A fucking internet forum isn't going to get you passed the stage of grief. For fucks sake, do you really consider anyone here comforting?

It was more of a case of getting shit out there. My real friends weren't going to do anything. At least on here people would acknowledge me.

I really don't know what to say. I'm a naturally happy person. The only times I feel unhappy are when I don't know what to do with myself or when I'm stressed out about something. Other than that I often feel absurdly happy and grateful for the things I have. I'm often happy certain things even exist. To me, the best way to cheer myself up is to start being productive. Not like doing chores or work that you dread doing, but rather something that you enjoy. Like for me, that would working on guns or leather. I sometimes do this late at night when I can't sleep. I find a good movie on Netflix, play it, and split my attention span between cleaning the gun and watching the movie. I do this with family members sometimes and some of my best memories with them are during such occasions. If you are feeling down. Busy yourself with something that you enjoy doing. Whether that be solving puzzles or organizing nailclippers, it doesn't matter. As long as it makes you happy and doesn't hurt anyone, it's worth doing. When I lose someone important in my life, I'm often desensitized and don't know what to think of it. I feel bad for not feeling sad and am confused in what I am supposed to feel. Eventually sometime or another, the full realization of what happened dawns on me when I least expect it; in which case I more or less break down for a couple minutes and am sad for the rest of the day. After that, I usually feel a lot better. Emotions are good for you. Don't dread them, but don't go too far with them either. Nothing in excess is good for you. There is a time to mourn and a time to be happy. Never let one take over the other or you will feel bad.

What does anybody do when they lose something important? They recover and move on. That's sure easier said than done. But if you sit around on your ass and mope, nothing will change for the better.
